Air transport plays a key role in the global economy. With its high efficiency and speed, it undertakes the task of transporting important materials. However, behind its prosperous development, some problems have also been exposed, which are secretly related to the difficulties in the development of general-purpose processors.
From a technical perspective, air transport and cargo transportation rely on advanced navigation systems, communication equipment and logistics management software, all of which require high-performance chip support. As the core of the chip, the performance of general-purpose processors directly affects the operating efficiency of these systems and software. However, my country's lagging behind in the research and development of general-purpose processors has made the air transport and cargo transportation sector rely on imported chips to a certain extent, which not only increases costs, but also poses risks such as technology being controlled by others and information security risks.
From the perspective of industrial structure, the air transport and freight industry chain covers many links such as airlines, airports, freight forwarders, and logistics companies. The coordinated operation of these links requires strong information processing and data computing capabilities. However, due to the lack of independently developed high-performance general-purpose processors, the development of my country's air transport and freight in terms of informatization and intelligence has been restricted, making it difficult to achieve industrial upgrading and optimization.
In addition, in terms of talent training, the air transport and cargo industry needs compound talents who are familiar with transportation management and proficient in information technology. However, due to the weakness of general-purpose processor research and development, the training system for related professional talents is not perfect, resulting in a shortage of talents and unable to meet the needs of the air transport and cargo industry for technological innovation and application.
At the same time, the policy environment also has an important impact on the development of general-purpose processor research and development and air transport and cargo transportation. In the past decade, my country's support for general-purpose processor research and development has been insufficient, and the policy orientation has not been clear, resulting in limited resource investment and slow research and development progress. In the field of air transport and cargo transportation, the imperfection of policies and regulations has also restricted the standardization and development of the industry, making the industry unable to cope with market changes and international competition.
In summary, the difficulties in general-purpose processor R&D are closely related to the development of the air transport cargo industry. To break this situation, my country needs to increase investment in general-purpose processor R&D, strengthen talent training, improve the policy environment, and promote industry collaborative innovation. Only in this way can we achieve sustainable development of the air transport cargo industry and enhance my country's competitiveness in the global transportation market.
